Springerle, the quintessential Christmas cookie from South Germany derives it's name from 'little jumper' or 'little knight' due to the fact that the cookie ‘jumps’ (rises) during baking.

These treats have a rich history dating back to the 14th century in southwestern Germany, particularly Schwabenländle (Swabia), which is my home area.

Crafted from a centuries-old recipe, my Springerle take three days to complete, maintaining the authenticity of tradition.
I only make small adjustments to cater to modern tastes.

Featuring roasted Anise-Seeds and a hint of Schwarzwälder Kirschwasser, with the alcohol evaporates during baking.

Ingredients: Wheat flour, Sugar, Eggs, Schwarzwälder Kirschwassr, Anise Seeds.

For optimal freshness, please store those delights in an airtight container.

If you decide not to indulge in their scrumptious flavor but wish to use them as Christmas tree decorations, simply make a hole, let them sit in the air, and within a few days, they'll become firm and ready to adorn your tree as charming ornaments.

Motifs are: Owl, Christmas Tree, Snowman, Puss in Boots, Rose and Deer.

Box contains 12 cookies (2 of each motif).
